OVERPIPEUK PLATES
A major innovation for the safety of underground networks (High-Pressure pipeline, Medium-Pressure pipeline, High-Voltage electricity grids, etc.)
Works by third parties represent the greatest danger for underground pipelines, causing approximately 50% of accidents.
OVERPIPE plates are fully compliant with French regulations regarding mechanical protection (GESIP guides 2008/02).
They provide a risk reduction factor (0.01) equivalent to that of concrete slabs (GESIP guide 2008/01).
WHY USE AN INJECTED HDPE PLATE?
IMPROVED SAFETY
Improved safety thanks to the non-slip surface and bevelled edges.
They are covered on both sides with non-slip spikes to make them easier to handle and avoid slip and fall accidents.
Excavator Resistance
The plates form an impenetrable barrier against impact from the bucket of an excavator.
Tests have proven that the 15mm thick injected HDPE plate resists the shock of a falling 32 ton shovel excavator bucket.
RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
In order to resolve the problems of water circulation, the risks of pockets of gas and to avoid disrupting cathodic protection measurements, a series of holes has been made in the entire surface of the plate.
The geological problem of landslide linked to the smooth plate/humid earth interface has been resolved by the inclusion of pins on both sides of the plate.
Packing is simple and recyclable for good waste management.
ERGONOMICS
Only two workers are required to install the plates and there is no need for additional parts or tools. This is possible thanks to clips and grips around the plate.
The plates are made to adapt to uneven terrain sites.
INSPECTION
The plates can be removed to allow the pipeline to be inspected or repaired.
APPEARANCE & SURFACE
The plates are full body coloured (anti-UV treated), in order to provide an unmissable warning signal (colour depending on the nature of the network).
They include an embossed warning message. Included in the mould, its lifetime is that of the plate. It can be fully customised.
DIMENSIONS
The dimensions of the plates are broken down into five formats to adapt to the diameters of the pipelines and to the route of the network.
DRAINAGE
During the moulding process, holes are incorporated into the plate to aid water draining, prevent pockets of gas forming in the event of a gas leak and to avoid disrupting cathodic protection signals
EASY INSTALLATION
OVERPIPE plates are particularly quick and easy to install: they require no heavy equipment or qualified personnel.
A team of two people can install several hundred meters per day.
